Mr. ‘Unbeatable’ All But Beat

With the Iowa caucuses only a few weeks away, comes two separate reports that Rudy Giuliani, the favorite child of certain conservative Greensboro blogs, is all but done. Giuliani who was the clear GOP front runner just months ago, is now tied with Mitt Romney at 20 percent polling. It doesn’t get any better for Rudy’s invincible sidekick, Fred Thompson, who’s campaign peaked before he announced his entry into the race.

What’s obvious in all of this is the more the public gets of Mr. 9/11, the less they like. I’m sure this comes as a shock to certain people who thought the Dems should have just transferred the Presidency directly to Rudy months ago. I for one am glad this early campaign season has cast the light of truth on someone who has stood on the backs of the brave souls lost on 9/11 to further his pathetic political career. Stick a fork in Frudy, they’re done.

  1. As a former Mass resident, I wonder how long it’ll take people to pick up on the fact that Mitt’s a lying SOB. Most of Mass figured it out about 5 minutes after he took the office of governor.

  2. As a former New Yorker, who left during the awful Giuliani years, I’m relieved to see that His Thin-Skinnedness is finally meeting his well deserved political demise. But I’m none too sanguine about the rise of Huckabee the theocrat either. They’re all creeps in their own special way.

  3. Jut a thought… wonder what you think of it:

Could the writer’s strike also be allowing Americans, who would otherwise be caught up in the distraction of other media offerings, now have a better, full-frontal view of candidates than they have ever had in the past? OR do you think that’s the writer’s strike may let someone get off the hook too easily, as some comedy writers wouldn’t be available to skewer these folks when they need to be.

I’m very interested, because it seems to me, in an ideal set-up, news and journalism should have “more time at the mic,” and if they do, AND if they are doing their job of journalism (not just reporting), then it will be better for all of us.

Then again, it might just be the idealist in me talking. 😉

  4. Listening to talk radio, it seems like the right hasn’t officially “chosen” anyone yet. I’ve been hearing the names of Huckabee, Romney, and Thompson in a positive light while listening to Bill Bennett and Michael Medved and their callers.

Personally, I wouldn’t count Guiliani out just yet, but that’s just a gut feeling. I haven’t seen any of the debates (Rep or Dem), but have been following somewhat online and via radio.

FYI, I lean to the left, but I’ve got a long commute and AM radio makes me chuckle.

  5. I try to tune in and listen to Boortz when I can, but I can only stomach so much. I can endure him for much longer than Savage however who’s as bigoted and hateful as they come.
