Of course Frenzic goes on sale the day after I purchase it for $4.99. Just my luck.

But, really, the game is worth way more than $5… so I don’t mind at all.

As an eater of crow I’d suggest lemon juice and A1 over ketchup.

When the holiday season is over it would be interesting to hear how the sale banner affected click-throughs. It would also be interesting if you tried other messages like: Not Free or Price Increase.

I agreed with you back when you said it’s sad that it compromises otherwise good designs, and that it seems cheap and unneccessary.

But then, as it seems, the App Store works in such ways, that it’s sometimes too risky to take a ‘purist’ strategy, and I respect you for posting this and sharing your views on this. A nice post, Ged!
