Section 1. of the US Constitution states: "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." Mr. Pedroia was born August 17, 1983, so he will be eligible to run for President in 2018 with the election of 2020 still two years to come. I'd recommend running for US Representative (minimum age 25) or US Senator (minimum age 30) first. Of course, he probably has a few more years left in the Major Leagues ;-) Article II.
